That way you'll have a better idea of how to adjust them to your personal liking.

Actually learn what each settings do first. Whats 'best' for one person is not 'best' for all. I don't want to get rid of the optimising feature, as I'm a bit noob. From what I've experienced so far it seems to be reliable. So I think that particular software is good. GeForce experience has an option to set for best performance or quality. So just set your settings up when you play the game instead of allowing software to do it for you and make a mess as it has done. They normally optimise them for lower or mid range settings where as some times if not most times you can go custom/high settings. Well your view distance, textures, clouds, shadows and anti aliasing are the most demanding settings to mess with. They aren't as simple as they used to be back in the day. That's the problem, I don't know which settings to keep at what levels for best performance/quality. Once it starts lagging lower certain settings until you eventually find the best settings for the performance and quality balence. Set them as high as you can until it starts lagging lol.
